Welcome to the Senior Golf League of Northern Virginia (SGLNV), founded in 2004 by John Moore, Chairman Emeritus.
The league currently has fourteen participating clubs which are shown at the “Teams” tab. Each season the fourteen clubs are divided into two seven team conferences for four-ball match play. The clubs compete in head-to-head matches over a fourteen week period, exclusive of bye weeks, followed by playoffs. The matches consist of three two-man amateur teams from each club playing four-ball matches without handicap, i.e., “scratch”. Each club plays a home and an away match during the regular season against the other six clubs in their conference and one in the other conference in an environment of good competition and camaraderie.
