Event Guidelines

Eligibility
Entrants must be residents of Virginia with a current USGA handicap index at a VSGA club or Association (see Tier II and III clubs at www.vsga.org), and meet the USGA senior amateur status requirements (55 years of age by the tournament start date). Priority will be given to members in good standing of a VSGA Northern East, Northern Central, Northern West or Fredericksburg section club or association. Other Virginia residents who are members of VSGA clubs outside the Northern Sections may enter on a space available basis.

Measuring Devices
The use of distance measuring devices, including GPS-based systems and laser rangefinders is allowed. This applies to devices that measure distance only, not any other conditions that might affect a player’s play (e.g. wind or gradient). If, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to guage or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g. gradient, wind speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penaly is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional functions are actually used.

Dress Code
Participants must adhere to the host club dress code.

Additional guidelines may be designated on the entry form(s). For any discrepancies between the guidelines listed there and those designated on the entry form, the entry form shall take precedence.
