Given the circumstances surrounding the Coronavirus/Covid 19 Pandemic, Winchester CC is postponing the 2020 Curly Licklider Memorial Fourball. The tournament will not be held on Friday, April 3, 2020.
We have every intention of hosting the tournament on a to be determined date this season. I do not have the date selected at this time as I’m waiting for more direction from the State of Virginia on guidelines pertaining to groups of 10 or larger and the self quarantine for individuals 65 and older before announcing a new date.
For those that registered and submitted a credit card as payment, the cards have not yet been charged, so no refunds are necessary.
For those that registered for the tournament and paid by check, a refund check will be mailed to you unless you let me know to keep the original check as payment for the event to be held in the future.
Once the new tournament date is established, I will communicate this with you. For those teams that registered in the tournament, it will be necessary to register again for the new date as original registrations will not carry forward. Teams that did not register for the original date will be able to register for the new date once it is determined.
Sorry to pass on this news, but ultimately we feel this is the correct and safest action we can take given the current situation.
