Please review carefully. I have accommodated all conflict dates that have been communicated to me. If there are any errors, I need to know ASAP as there are very few potential solutions.

We have 26 teams entered this year which resulted in five divisions of four and one of six teams.  The six team bracket (division F) has never happened before, however, in an effort to provide 3 matches to all teams and not 2 matches to 6 teams, we decided to make this change. Since there is not a balanced schedule in division F, this division winner will be decided by the highest point average within the division along with a revised tiebreaker procedure for this division only. This will result in all six division winners advancing to the playoffs, as well as two wild card teams. The wild card teams will be determined by the highest average point total per match from the remaining non division winning teams. All tie breaker information is contained in the rules document (attached).

As we all know, weather can have an impact on this schedule. If weather becomes a factor, I will communicate any potential solutions, which will include any feedback from all of you prior to making any decisions. As I mentioned prior, Saturday April 3rd is the day before Easter. I have not scheduled any matches for this date, however this is a date that can be used for make-up matches in the event of weather issues. We would also have no issues with mutually rescheduling matches on this date if needed, however, please try to be cognizant of any weather issues that may affect the overall schedule before using this date. With that said, please keep me in the loop on any potential schedule changes not involving weather that may be made. Any schedule change not involving weather must be made mutually between the participating clubs.

When reporting results, the revised tiebreaker procedure requires that we record total points and away points. The winning captain or head pro should email me in the following format:

Winning Club/total points and away points

Losing Club/total points and away points

The total “away” points are defined as points earned at the away course, and has nothing to do with home or away team used for playoff purposes.

Please try to avoid texts as I do not have everyone’s numbers stored and would like to avoid the anonymous text saying “we won 10-8”.

Assuming bracket play is completed by April 3rd, the playoff schedule will be:

Quarterfinals Saturday April 10th

Semifinals Sunday April 11th

Finals Saturday April 17th

If there are any questions please feel free to e-mail me (preferred) or give me a call at 703-431-8031.

Thanks to all involved for helping A-Team officially kick off the 2021 season.

Good Luck!
