Entries to the 2025 NVGA Combined Amateur 4-ball / Senior 4-ball at ANCC (Fairfax) on Wed 1 Oct are now closed.  We plan to publish the tee times and pairings sometime Sunday, or Monday at the latest.  Tee times will be sent to you by email and also published on our website.

We have 52 teams entered as of today:  10 Amateurs, 29 Seniors, 9 Super-Seniors, and 4 Legends teams.  The player list is at the following link: 2025 NVGA Combined 4-ball Senior 4-ball Player List as of 27 Sept

Please make sure you are listed in the correct division.  If your team has players of mixed ages (e.g. 1 a Senior age 50+ and the partner is a Super-Senior age 65+), the team will play in the division of the younger player and both players will play from the same tees as that division.  In this example, the both players will play from the Senior Division tees (Blue tees at about 6300 yards).

The Amateurs, Super-Seniors, and Legends (23 teams) will tee off on the Blue nine (front) from about 8:30 am until about 10:10 and will turn to the Red nine (back).

The largest division of Seniors (29 teams) will tee off on the White nine (front) and turn to the Blue nine from about 8:30 am until about 10:50 am.

No food and beverages are included with your entry fees in order to maximize the prize pool.  You may bring your own lunch/snacks, or food and beverages will be available at the Pavillion (near the putting greens and swimming pool) and also in the Grill in the clubhouse, 2nd floor.  The club is not set up to accept cash or credit cards, so food and beverages can be purchased by charging back to your home club by giving your name, club, and club number.  If you don’t belong to a club with a reciprocal agreement with Army Navy CC, I (Lynn Wessman) expect to be in the vicinity of the scorer’s table from about 1:00 pm onwards and will assist you.  Everyone is welcome to use the clubhouse while waiting for the scoring to be completed, trophies (Amateur and Senior divisions) presented, and gift certificates passed out.   The prize pool will total about $6200 and will be distributed to about 40% of the field.  We plan to pay 4 places in the Amateur division, 12 places in the Senior division, 4 places in the Super-Senior division, and 2 places in the Legends division.

The range balls are reduced flight due to the size of the range, but still can go over the fence at the far end of the range for the longer hitters.  Drivers may be used on the range but please do not hit balls over the netting at the far end of the range.

There will be no rules officials on the course.  You may confer with your fellow competitors in your group, or if in doubt as to how to proceed play a second ball (Rule 3-3). Before proceeding under this rule announce to your fellow competitors your intention to do so and select which ball you wish to count if the rules permit. Report to the committee that you played a second ball and the details before certifying your score with the official scorer.

The weather looks favorable and the course is in very good condition.  We look forward to seeing you there!
