Mike McClister (Loudoun G&CC), the 2016 winner of this championship, won the 37th Northern Virginia Senior Amateur Championship today with a two-day total of 149 on a challenging golf course where par is a very good score and the Senior field average for 2-days was about 15 over par. Trailing by one shot after the first day, Mike played the front nine in even par and held on despite much colder and wetter weather in the afternoon to a 4-over par 76 and a total of 149 for a 2-shot win over Jeff Johns (Dominion Valley ) and Paul Gural (International CC) who tied with a total of 151. Good playing Mike!
