Congratulations to Rob Keith and Greg Kozy (Chantilly National GC) for winning the 2023 Northern Virginia Senior 4-ball Championship at International CC in Fairfax, VA on July 31st!

Keith and Kozy carded an impressive 5-under par 66 on the challenging layout for a 1-shot win over defending champions Blair Semple and Peter Hill (Trump National GC), and Mark Boedicker (RTJ Club) and Dave Pulk (Two Rivers CC) who tied for second with a score of 4-under par 67.

In the Super-Senior (age 65+) division there was a 3-way tie at even par 71 with a scorecard playoff using the USGA method (last 9, last 6, last 3, last hole) determining the team rankings as Richard Thomas (International CC) and Steve Gay (Washington Golf & CC) first, Tim Vigotsky (RTJ Club) and John Steele (Westwood CC) second, and Lynn Wessman and Brad Moffett (Army Navy CC) third.

The Legends (age 70+) division was won by Roger Pitkin and Dan Sullivan (Army Navy CC) with a score of 1-under par 70.  Ron Cornelison (RTJ Club) and Larry Heishman (Rock Harbor GC) came in second place with a score of even-par 71.

The golf course was in superb condition with temperatures in the mid-80s and low humidity which made for a fantastic day of golf.  We would like to thank Mike Howell and Dave LeClere of International CC for their efforts to get this event scheduled at their club.  We would also like to express our most sincere appreciation to Head Professional Tom Melideo, PGA and Assistant Professional David Ward, PGA for their assistance in setting up the tournament and providing the scoring.
