Wednesday 14 September —- Defending league champion and American Conference #1 Springfield CC squeaked by a stubborn National Conference #2 Piedmont Club team in the first Senior Golf League semi-finals match at Springfield today. The match ended in a 4.5 point to 4.5 point tie after regulation play and was decided by a sudden-death playoff which Springfield won with a birdie on the second playoff hole.
In the second semi-final match National Conference #1 Loudoun had an easy win on their home course over National Conference #3 Army Navy by a score of 8.5 to 0.5.
Springfield will defend their 2021 Senior Golf League title against Loudoun on a neutral course site of Evergreen CC next Wednesday 21 September.
